What's Your Learning Style? (8/25-8/26)

Did you know that there are different ways that people learn?  They are called Learning Styles, and there are three types: Visual, Auditory, and Tactile. Knowing your Learning Style can help you figure out the best ways to learn and study. In Science Class you will have some assignments that allow you to choose the activity based on YOUR Learning Style.  Today you are going to take a simple 20 question quiz to figure out your learning style.
Step 1.  Click HERE to go to the quiz
Step 2. Click on "Answer the 20 Questions" to take the quiz.  As you take the quiz, try not to over-think your answers - there is no right or wrong answer!
Step 3.  When you get to your results, record your learning style in your notebook on page 4 (RIGHT side).  Keep in mind that many people use a combination of learning styles - go with whichever one you score highest.  If you have a tie that is OK!  Write them both.
Step 4.  Use the tips in your results, or try googling "Learning Style Strategies" to find tips for your learning style.    Write FIVE tips for your learning style in your notebook on the RIGHT side.
Step 5.  Find a fellow peer with your learning style;  share your FIVE tips with that person, then add one of their tips to your notebook (make sure it is different than one of the five you have already recorded).
Step 6.  Continue talking with other peers from your learning style and jotting down tips until you have TEN total.

Step 7.  On the LEFT side (page 3) pick one of the left side activities (page 1 of your notebook) and complete it for your learning style (for example, draw a picture of yourself doing one of your tips, or create a venn-diagram organizing your tips into things you can do in the classroom, things you can do at home, and both).
