LENGTH
1. Add pages 13-14 to your notebook. Title them "METRIC MEASUREMENT"
2. Click the link HERE and watch the video on metric length.
3. Click the link HERE and watch the video on taking measurements using Centimeters.
4. Click the link HERE to practice taking measurements using Centimeters.
5. Finally, click the link HERE to watch the video on taking measurements using Millimeters.
6. Complete the "Length" portion of your metric foldable
7. Glue or tape the foldable to page 14 (RIGHT side)
8. Now it's time to practice. Complete the practice sheet using a ruler. Reference back to the videos if you need help!
9. Tape the practice sheet to page 13 (LEFT side)
VOLUME
1. Review the following links. As you go through the sites, make sure to fill in the "Volume" portion of your foldable (it should be on the RIGHT hand side).
2. Click HERE to go through the Presentation on Volume
3. Click HERE to practice (this one is tricky...follow the tips below)
- Click the "?" mark in the upper right corner
- Read over the directions
- Click on the water and drag it to the top of the graduated cylinder
- Click and hold the hand to add water to your graduated cylinder
- Make an estimate about how much water
- Click "Read the Measurement" to see how much water you have added
- Practice as much as you need to
- Click the arrow button on the right to continue
- Read over the "?" mark for each new activity and complete
