DEAD OR ALIVE DISCUSSION

1.  On the LEFT hand side, draw a three column chart.  Title the first column "Living", the second "Non-Living", and the third "Dead" (see board for an example of a three column chart if you need to).

2.  With your group, write the items from your Dead or Alive activity in the appropriate column.  You should discuss and come to an agreement on items.

3.  Answer the following questions below your chart IN COMPLETE SENTENCES (please).

Are there characteristics that all living things share?  If yes, then what are those characteristics?

Are there any non-living items that have a characteristic(s) that living things share?  If so, what are they?

4.  Complete a frayer model for the words QUALITATIVE & QUANTITATIVE

5. complete the Observation Inference practice handout

6.  Fold the practice sheet in half and tape ON TOP of the left hand side
